Getting a match running

• You need other people, outdoors, in the same place. Hidewild plays across a real park, campus or few blocks. It cannot be played alone or indoors from a sofa.
• One person hosts. They draw the zone on the map, pick a mode, and share the six-letter game code or the link. Everyone else taps it.
• Allow location. The game places you in the zone and measures how close you are. Allowing Always as well keeps the match running with your phone locked and in your pocket, which is how most modes are meant to be played.
• Minimum players. Three for Hide & Seek, Radar and Fox Hunt, four for Collapse, five for Infection. The lobby shows how many more you need.

Something is wrong

• "Finding you…" will not finish. Go outside — GPS rarely fixes indoors — and check Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Hidewild is allowed and set to Precise.
• The match says your GPS was lost. The game keeps going and picks you up again when a fix comes back. Deep indoors, underground and dense city canyons are the usual causes.
• A purchase did not arrive. Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. If it still has not landed, email us with the date and we will look it up.
• You were signed out. Guest progress lives on that phone. Link Apple or Google in Settings and it follows you to any phone.

Safety and other players

Play with your head up: watch the traffic and the people around you, keep off roads and out of private property, and do not go anywhere you should not be. The host can stop a match for everyone at any time.

If another player behaves badly, open their card and tap Report, and block them if you want to be kept apart. Reports go to us, never to the player. We read every one and act on anything that breaks the rules, usually within a day. You can also email us directly.

Your account and your data

• Delete your account in the app: Settings › Delete account. It removes your profile, friends, history and pack place from our servers and signs you out.
• Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, by email.
• Age. Hidewild is for players aged 13 and over.
• What we collect and who can see your location is set out in the privacy policy.

Subscriptions

Hidewild Club is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you cancel it in your App Store settings — Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone — at least 24 hours before it renews. Club adds host perks and cosmetics. It never makes you faster, harder to find or better at tagging. Full terms are in the terms of use.
