Terms of use
The short version. Hidewild is played in the real world. Look after yourself and others, respect places and people, and play fair. Purchases go through Apple and follow Apple's rules.
Agreeing to these terms
By using Hidewild you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If the app came from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where the two differ, these terms add to Apple's; they do not replace it.
Who can play
You must be at least 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms for you.
Playing safely
- You are responsible for your own safety and for how you move around. Watch for traffic, water, rail lines and other hazards. Never run into roads.
- Play only where you are allowed to be. Respect private property, closed areas, local rules and the people around you.
- Choose zones that are safe for everyone in the match, and stop if someone is unsafe.
- Never follow, track or approach anyone who is not playing, or use the game to find someone who does not want to be found.
Hidewild gives you a game. It does not supervise the places you play, and we are not responsible for what happens there.
Fair play and conduct
- Don't cheat. That includes faking your location, tampering with the app, or exploiting bugs.
- Don't harass, threaten, or impersonate other players.
- Names and crew names must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, or someone else's identity.
You can block and report players in the app. We review reports, and we may rename, suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.
Your account
Keep your account to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on it. A guest account is tied to the device it was made on: if you lose the phone or delete the app, it can't be recovered unless you linked Sign in with Apple or Google. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Purchases and Hidewild Club
- Coins, gems, cosmetics and the season pass are a licence to use them in the game. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or sold. Everything you can buy is cosmetic or a hosting perk; nothing makes you faster, harder to find or better at tagging.
- Payment is handled by Apple. Refunds are requested from Apple. If a purchase is refunded, what it gave is removed from your account.
- Hidewild Club is a subscription, monthly or yearly. It renews automatically at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- We may change what is sold and what it costs. A change does not take away anything you already own.
The service
We work to keep Hidewild running but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or remove features, and end seasons and events.
Disclaimers and liability
Hidewild is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for injury, loss or damage that comes from playing in the real world. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded.
Ending
You can stop using Hidewild and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
